If Apple were a country, it would be Singapore — capitalist, yes, but tightly controlled for both morality and dissent. Apple recently deleted an application called Wallpaper Universe from the iPhone App store. The program featured photo wallpapers of scantily clad maidens, which apparently made Apple uncomfortable.
