Crisis or not, BMW is still working on its safety measure niche market. The BMW X5 shield Plus is an armored version of the X5 SUV that has been labeled “AK-47 proof” considering it is supposed to resist small arms fire. In general, we don’t like using the term “bullet-proof” as no car like that one is totally immune to even small arms fire. Instead humans should see that as “bullet-resistant”: it buys decent date for the occupants to escape. We don’t have the exact price, but you can guess that it probably costs an arm.
