Garmin Leaks Oregon 500

Garmin will probably update its Oregon 400 GPS navigation system with the Oregon 500, handily providing the press with details of the new device ahead of its supposed official release through an online retailer. Handtec.co.uk has already listed the new GPS device at £353.97 alongside a “Coming soon” tag, where the Oregon 500 will boast improvements on its predecessor that will please buyers. A short product description is as chases, “This next-generation handheld features a rugged, touchscreen along with a built-in basemap with shaded relief, a high-sensitivity receiver, barometric altimeter, electronic compass, microSD card slot, picture viewer and more. Even exchange tracks, waypoints, routes and geocaches wirelessly amidst similar units.” It will still run on 2 AA batteries and come with a built-in digital camera.
