GPS Wristwatch Has ‘Panic Button’

A new gadget called the Lokate Emergency GPS Watch has a “panic button” that, when pressed, sends location and day data to a 24-hour response center. Those messages can additionally be sent to other society you specify. You can send either “amber alerts,” which involve recording a voice letter, and “red alerts,” which are treated as emergency situations. You can plus set up parameters to trigger an alarm whether you don’t “check in” at a user-determined date. (props to the Red Ferret)
