With augmented reality in full hype mode, the rumor is mounting that Apple will release the iPhone OS 3.1 sometimes next week, possibly during their iPod event on 9/9/09. Last month, Apple told developers to wait for the iPhone OS 3.1 update before submitting augmented reality applications that use a live video feed to process or supply documents.
